BitBasel Joins the Lunaprise Museum to Launch the First NFT Artworks to the Moon
NASA is returning to the moon’s surface for the first time since 1972, and cryptoart will play a key part in this historic mission.
BitBasel through Space Blue, and its collaboration with the Arch Mission Foundation and Galactic Legacy Labs has joined the Lunaprise Moon Museum , a specialized payload aboard Intuitive Machine’s Nova-C Lunar Lander , which is scheduled to launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida via a SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket end of Quarter 1, 2023, commencing Mission IM-1, NASA’s first return to the lunar surface in over fifty year.
Etched onto indestructible nano fiche disks , the Lunaprise Moon Museum is made out of pure nickel, an element that can survive the harsh conditions of outer space. It lasts virtually forever, and will never lose any data. Artworks on the disk are readable via a microscope, and a replica of the Lunaprise disk will be on exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC.
BitBasel was selected as an official marketing partner for the mission, and winners from BitBasel’s CryptoArt for Impact Challenge, which illuminate the United Nations 17 SDG’s (“Sustainable Development Goals”), were invited to be part of the 222 artists selected to join the museum’s collection.
“We couldn’t be more excited to be joining the Lunaprise Moon Museum as Official Marketing Partners” said BitBasel CEO Scott Spiegel. “The intersection of the space economy and web3 is still in its infancy, and there’s no better medium to raise awareness about its potential impact for humanity than through art.”
Other artworks included in the Lunaprise Moon Museum are curated selections of some of the legendary Grammy winning music artists of our era , works of the greatest sports star collectibles, some of the finest artists In world history dating back thousands of years, historic speeches and moments recorded in film (including the first landing on the moon) , iconic photography, priceless numismatic coins and stamps, artwork of the most iconic female athlete in history, the last hidden characters and screenplay of #1 Box Office creator Stan Lee (“Avengers”, “Spider Man”, “Iron Man”, “Black Panther” Creator), more than 22 NFT Art collections, and engravings of the names of the legends and luminaries who shaped the NFT Art and blockchain renaissance, including the name “Satoshi Nakamoto” for starters.
