New NFT Web3 programming and a chance for CryptoArtists to be featured at Miami Art Week will be made possible by BitBasel in 2022. For the third year in a row BitBasel is back at Miami Art Week curating one of the largest collections of NFTs and hosting a series of events promoting the education and widespread adoption of blockchain technology. Starting in 2020 prior to the meteoric rise of NFTs, BitBasel hosted a hybrid event with top CEOs and change makers in the NFT industry. Followed by a week-long hotel buyout at the Sagamore in 2021 with panels and discussions focused on civic engagement, ocean activist groups, space technology utilizing NFTs, and celebrity endorsements from the likes of mous5trap, Frida Kahlo Foundation, Balenciaga, and more. This year BitBasel will host their inaugural NFT Gallery Auction and Web3 Media Lab Nov 29th-Dec 4th in Miami’s Design District.
The 5-day multisensory expo will feature the latest in metaverse equipment by MetaMiami to showcase the most cutting edge metaverse technology such as the Proto Holoportation device where performers and speakers will be turned into holograms and beamed into BitBasel hybrid in-person and virtual event. Panels will also include programming by Immerse Global Summit, one of the year’s most anticipated VR/AR conferences taking place next Dec 5–7th, 2022 FontainBleau Hotel in Miami, Florida. Blockchain Lab at University of Florida, Digital World Institute and other industry leaders will educate and explore NFT use cases in art, policy, fashion, and even space.
Day 1 will kick off with programming by Inter-American Development Bank Creativity and Culture Unit who commissions artists to create site-specific works intended to inject creativity and inspire the public, influencers and future decision makers with innovative and creative solutions to current development challenges.
Followed by Art Tech and Policy Day featuring Storj Institute whose mission is to increase the participation in Web3 of people traditionally underrepresented in technology. The week continues with Florida Blockchain Technology Innovation Day by Alteon.io focused on bridging the gap between traditional creatives and the Web3 creator economy by creating professional-grade tools democratizing the media industry that are accessible to all together with Florida Blockchain Business Association.
After the daily BitBasel expo our programming partners at ELEMENTAL will host a special event with performances by MALAA 11/30, Duke Dumont 12/1, and notable talent 12/2–12/4 from a mix of industries in music, art, and tech that will converge on the space for a unique BitBasel VIP experience. Leading up to Miami Art Week BitBasel is launching a CryptoArt for Impact and Innovation Challenge where artists can submit their work before November 17th that represents innovative technology while showcasing their impact in selected Global Impact categories. Select works will be featured at BitBasel’s Web3 Media Lab/NFT Gallery and in the metaverse. MetaCities and BitBasel are teaming up to launch MetaMiami to allow attendees a hybrid in-person and virtual experience.
CryptoArtists are asked to create an impactful and innovative NFT to support the SDG’s, with a strong emphasis on SDG4, Quality Education. The Sustainable Development Goals are a global call to action by all countries and their people to promote prosperity while protecting the planet, now and for future generations to come, while leaving no one behind.
